    Information in connection with loaning

Concerning the days before and after the library is closed, the late fee is 20 HUF/day/document, therefore, if possible, return them as soon as you can or renew the due date.

During the period when the library was closed (from 11 November 2020 to 10 May 2021) we did not levied charges for loaned books and the active loans’ due date was continuously renewed.

You can check the due date online by logging in to your library account

In case there are any late fees, you can pay them online.

You can read the steps of online payment here

        Remote access services

Access to databases, electronic journals, e-books outside of the premises of the University

The usage of the University of Pécs electronic sources is still ensured by the University Library and Knowledge Centre as usual. It is not necessary to be physically present in the University’s campus, libraries and other buildings in order to access the contents remotely.

You can find detailed information on remote access here: https://lib.pte.hu/hu/service/tavoli_eleres-188.

The access is only available to University of Pécs citizens with a valid library card or Neptun code. Those students who would like to set their Proxy but are not members of the library yet can register here.

Detailed information in connection with the use of electronic sources is available on the MyLib blog.

        “Ask a librarian!”

The “Ask the librarian service” provides useful information for students writing their theses, preparing for presentations or home assignments and for those conducting scientific research or writing doctoral dissertations.

We hope for receiving questions that require specialized guidance or orientational help during a research.

The library provides information on sources available in the library network and in connection with free electronic documents or ones that are remotely accessible to University of Pécs Citizens. Only readers with a valid reading card can use this service by clicking on the following link: https://kerdezze.lib.pte.hu/en/

        “Chat with the Librarian”

For general questions, you can use our „Chat with the Librarian” online service on weekdays. This application can be found on all webpages of the University Library and Knowledge Centre, in the lower right segment of the site.

Providing digitalized library documents for the teachers of the University of Pécs

At the request of the teachers of the University of Pécs and in order to support digital learning and the completion of the courses, the library offers its help with the digitalization of the documents. In the case of copyrighted materials, the teacher may digitally deliver the work only to the students of his/her course via the digital learning platform he/she uses. Furthermore, in the case of copyrighted materials, the library only performs the digitization of book excerpts, newspaper and journal articles and specialist studies – not a complete book or journal.

The library performs the requests within 10 workdays which may vary depending on the workload and the bulk of the documents.

Teachers can send their requests to the following e-mail address: digitalizalas@lib.pte.hu.
