Introduction of a Virtual Library Card at the University of Pécs Library and Knowledge Centre

The university library is introducing a new digital service designed to make using library services even simpler and more convenient. Thanks to this development, the library card will be available in digital form in addition to the traditional plastic card.

The new solution enables faster and more flexible library use and adapts to users’ everyday digital habits.

The virtual library card can be accessed in two ways. One option is to use the Qulto eCard mobile app, which is available on both Android and iOS devices and provides the identification required to access the library.

The other option is to use the unique barcode found in the reader’s account, which is accessible through the library system’s online interface.

The virtual library card is a full-fledged digital equivalent of the physical library card, which can be used both to enter the Knowledge Centre through its access gates and for library borrowing and administrative tasks.
