Registration

Registration can only be carried out in person on the Ground floor of the Knowledge Centre, at the Registration desk by signing the Registration Log.

When registering the Library user is obliged to tell and adequately certify:

• his/her first name and surname, first name and surname/maiden name,
• his/her place of birth,
• his/her date of birth,
• his/her mother’s first name and surname and
• residential address
• e-mail address and telephone number (not compulsory)

Please inform the library of any changes in personal data as soon as possible.

Documents necessary for registration

In all cases:

• Personal ID card or passport or card-type driver’s licence
• Residential address card
• For foreigners – passport, card-type driver’s licence or residence permit

In the case of further discounts:

• For students – Student Identity Card
• For pensioners – Pensioner Concession Card
• To take advantage of any other discounts, the user must produce the document certifying the right to the  discount

Parental signature is required for users below the age of 18 (registration of readers below the age 16 is at the Children’s library at 4^th floor)

Registration Fees

Replacement reader’s card: HUF 800

•  A reader’s card is issued to registered users of the Library. Reader’s cards are non-transferable!
• The reader’s card shall expire in 6 or 12 months from the date of issue dependent on the length of membership subscription paid. (In the case of students 31^st October of the given year.)
• The user of the Library may renew his/her membership in person by certifying the data required for registration and by paying the subscription fee again. Entitlement to the exemption from paying the subscription fee or to discounts is to be certified again at the renewal of the validity period of the reader’s card.
• Prior to the renewing of a subscription, all library books borrowed and whose loan period has expired are to be returned and debts are to be paid.
• The loss or theft of the reader’s card must be reported as soon as possible. The Library – in order to prevent misuse – shall delete the lost or stolen reader’s card from its system, thus making it invalid for using library services and for entering the building of the Knowledge Centre.
• The reader’s card issued by the Knowledge Centre – after a separate registration – shall be valid for all library units of the entire network of the University Library of the University of Pécs and Győző Csorba County – City Library.
• Those locally issued reader’s cards issued by library units of the University Library of the University of Pécs and Győző Csorba County – City Library which are not members of the Knowledge Centre cannot be used for the services of the Knowledge Centre.
• Paper-based reader’s cards issued by other network units are not valid in the Knowledge Centre.
